A corn fed lowan,  Father  Joe served  four years in  the  U.S. Air Force. He then joined the Redemptorist  and was  ordained to  the priesthood in 1970. One year

later, he was sent to the  Redemptorist mission  on the  Amazon River. There he worked on  parish river  boats,  was  Director of the Brazilian seminary, and later, was  Superior of the Redemptorist Mission in Manaus. After 37 years, he returns

                              to  his  American  heartland  roots and  adds a  special  "Brazilian Tango"  to the

                              Redemptorist Parish Mission Team.
